I stayed in California for part of my first summer at college and decided to go on a hike to Sunset Peak. Summer was not the best time for this trip, as there was absolutely no shade, so it was rather hot on the way up. And, of course, the mountains were just much drier and more barren than the Coloradan ones I am used to. But there were still some nice wildflowers lurking around the trail.
