A beautiful hike in the mountains near Estes Park, the trail by Second Creek takes you first through a thick, forested canopy of pines where the stream runs through the shade. The trees quickly become sparse, though, as you begin to approach the steep and (comparatively) barren summit. Since it is not an overly popular spot, it can be a very relaxing trip with plenty to admire (or take photos of).
