At the end of high school, the school sent us on various week long trips. I went rock climbing and camping in Moab, Utah with a group of friends. Since then, I've really fallen in love with rock climbing, but I think my favorite part of the trip was the day these pictures were taken. Since then, I've really fallen in love with rock climbing, but I think my favorite part of the trip was the day these pictures were taken. We went canyoneering that day-- meaning we went on a hike that is interrupted by a few impassable cliffs and rappelled down those cliffs-- although I unfortunately can't remember what the canyon or trail was called. The area was obviously very secluded and beautiful, and it was really exhilarating going over the edge the first time and jumping along the wall, just like a SWAT team! We rappelled down the face in 0476 (and generally did a good job of avoiding the pool at the bottom, except for one person) and the wall on the left in 0624. On the second one, you were in free fall (away from the wall) for most of it, and had to do a pretty good job at swinging to avoid the poison ivy at the bottom. RIP Chad "Love" Bro-Chill.
